Music Control for GPM apk Description
Google Play Music album-art and playlist selection for Sony SmartWatch.This app is an extension for use with a Sony SmartWatch & Google Play Music.
This extension performs the same function as Sony's 'Music Player' extension for the Sony SmartWatch.
However it adds the ability to get the album art out of Google Play Music system notifications and show them on the watch where the current track is being displayed. It also allows selection of several favorite playlists to be made available for quick access from the Sony SmartWatch.
You must enable this app's accessibility service in your phone's Accessibility settings.
Shortly after a song begins to play, the app will grab album art from the Google Play Music notification. Note, notifications are not created while Google Play Music is in the foreground. But that shouldn't be a problem, since your phone will be in your pocket!
Playlists from Google Play Music are supported. You can use the extensions Settings to configure which of your playlists you want to make available from the SmartWatch. Swipe up in the control to reveal the playlist selections. Swipe left or right to roll through your favorite playlists. Press the play button to launch that playlist.
Note: Google Play Music can be a little slow to start playing a song and produce the notifications that this app triggers on. That is usually just internet latency for streaming.
